Symptoms of oral submucous fibrosis include the following :

·         Progressive inability to open the mouth (trismus) due to oral fibrosis and scarring

·         Oral pain and a burning sensation upon consumption of spicy foodstuffs

·         Increased salivation

·         Change of gustatory sensation

·         Hearing loss due to stenosis of the eustachian tubes

·         Dryness of the mouth

·         Nasal tonality to the voice

·         Dysphagia to solids (if the esophagus is involved)

·         Impaired mouth movements (eg, eating, whistling, blowing, sucking)

WHAT IS FACIAL SCULPTING?

Facial contouring (also known as facial sculpting) is the reshaping of facial contours through the removal of fatty deposits under the skin.  Facial sculpting may also include surgically reshaping bone and cartilage or adding fillers to create fullness.

TREATMENT OPTIONS

Facial sculpting is the reshaping of the face through any of a variety of procedures. The standard is liposuction, a surgical procedure with inherent risks that many patients wish to avoid. Other options include laser or energy-assisted liposuction, which are usually gentler in comparison to regular liposuction. There are also non-invasive procedures, such as injectable fillers, which are becoming common but results are less predictable and less impressive.
